Teaching at Kingston Elementary School

During this activity I learned about lesson planning. What I learned was that you have to be very specific when giving directions.

Goal 4: I grew in this area because I learned how to develop a specific plan that will allow a learning experience for all children.

Goal 5: I learned that it was important to teach different ways for different children. Some children could do a skill by being told what to do and some of the other students needed demonstrations to be able to complete the skill.

I learned about constructivism; learned that as a constructivist I value creating a delopmentally-appropriate learning environment. I learned that with 5th graders there are some children that are not as developed as other children in their same class. It is important to develop activities will include all children and allow them to be successful.
